Thinking of Food

Food is key for our survival but just imagine how much time we spend in talking of food. We discuss about it before its consumption and after enjoying a sumptuous meal. Food is an essential topic in all general casual discussions. The importance of a good meal is much beyond our urge to satisfy the hunger only. Food build relationships, it make us compatible to others and most significantly allow us to enjoy the great moments.

Our eating preferences predict the approach of one self in way we are treating our life. People who are adventurers in trying different food may be more open for change and experimentation. Cooking for others exhibit our nature to please other and ultimately the passion to serve. Food ignites our excitement to live each moment of this precious life. Love and respect get stronger with mutual exchanges of treats. Food helps us in understanding different cultures, regions and religions as we start appreciating the diversities.

The Other Side of Story

The mind gets conditioned very soon and it can reflect in our thinking process. Our approach to receive and process the information follows the set pattern. We start perceiving only the programmed reactions in and around us. There are self created filters bound to get activated due to our mind set for visualizing only one aspect of the story.

Solutions to address this thinking process is awakening and enlightenment with gaining more information. We must develop the profound belief to explore all the information at core to its inception. Unless we dig in deep we may sound superficial and hollow in our under standings in concerning matters important for existence.

Books are unequivocally the universal media and means to shower the wisdom knowledge to depict the complete picture. Reading allows us to flow in information and knowledge and in depth clarity on any subject. Mind set can only be challenged with introspection and books are delightful resource to accomplish that.

Fear is The cause of All Miseries

Fear in any nature or kind results in miseries in our life .Fear haunt us from the path of happiness at different junctures. When we are frightened it put us in state of anxiety and stress. There is continuous battle in our mind to suppress the fear and to win over the horrific consequence of this state of mind.

Fear prevails in various dimensions in our personality and no one is immune to its presence in our approach. Intensity may vary depending on individual’s personality and circumstances. Fear of unknown is dominant in altering our thinking in negative direction. As we all feel insecure at times that is the phase which cultivate fear of unknown .Over consciousness also can put us in avoidable state of fear. Situations even compel us to get influenced by fear to some extent.

The only approach to tackle the fear is to get passionate and to be extremist in our approach. Over indulgence help us in ignoring even the common consequences. We start taking the things as they come and that result in fearlessness. The fear can be killed with fear only to end all our miseries.

When you are not True

Always speaking truth and being honest may be not that relevant in life. Truthfulness can hurt people and in some situations lead to more upheavals then harmony and peace. Keeping other person in illusions can be more appropriate for lifting the spirits of a sliding individual. In life recurrently we need breathers for moving ahead and harsh truth can deviate us from achieving the required momentum.

So hiding the facts or to disguise true picture essentially is not always detrimental for relationships. All aspects of life can not be black and white and grey areas do exists, managing these, demands maneuvering at times. We also like to play hide and seek for making our life adventuress and challenging. So when we are not true it adds twist to life.

Facing the truth is an incremental process; we seek time to prepare our mind set to accept the realties in our environment. Gradual progression is facilitated by some deviations in this path of reaching at ultimate stage of truthfulness.

When you are misunderstood

What we mean and how it is taken by another person is always intriguing aspect in dealing with people. People attempt to understand us with their own mind set and that it self lead to the misunderstandings.

These gaps are the result of lack of communication or when we are communicating without conviction. Expression is more clear and specific when we are unequivocal in demonstrating our thoughts in our words. Any manipulation in expression exposes us to the distortion in our communication. Some times we are not received in right context by another individual. This situation is more tricky and sensitive to handle. Solution is simple and straight that if we are sincere and clear in our approach the misunderstandings will remain as passing phase in dealing with others. Patient is the key factor and as well as the controlling factor in avoiding any mishaps. Vibrations of truthfulness will prevail over the cracks and persistent in pursuance of our beliefs bound to make us understood.

Success Brings Pain

The glaring example is the life of Michael Jackson (MJ). In all our life we keep on striving for our self defined parameters of success and glory but when it comes we our self are incapable to handle it and as well as understand it. All our deeds always contemplate to achieve the ultimate to experience the path of recognition and fame in our respective fields.

We at pinnacle of our achievements are perceived at definitive state of peace and happiness but ironically most of us passing through the acute pain and emotional disasters in this phase of life. Expectations are raised to never imagine heights and coming good on one trigger the struggle for another. At top we are alone, materialistic success regrettably enlarges our gaps in society. Another interesting and unsettling aspect is that we start to develop the tendency to ignore the ground realities as fame and success intoxicates our reasoning abilities.

The end of this cycle is devastatingly painful if we are not able to handle our success in a reasonable way. In this fall out the sufferers are many who get along with us in this ladder of success and glory. So getting at top is only the half battle won, sustaining there is the real challenge. The hard truth is that sometimes average achievement is more satisfying then to be at top.

Arrogance the Gateway to Disaster

Arrogance is not related to furious or aggressive attitude always; even polite and soft personalities reflect the arrogance in their approach. Superciliousness is nothing but the consistent rigid behavior adopted by an individual in his or her routine behavior. Without realizing after effects on one self we keep getting sliding in web of arrogance.

The root cause for arrogance is not the personality of an individual but it’s more related the circumstances around us. Superficial success or status overpowers are rationality in thinking and with time it is hard for us to have open an approach in our life. Our achievements and accomplishments results in building the myopic view in us. Instead treating each aspect with unsullied approach our past laurels inflict us to the tunnel view. The end result is that we are not able to face the ground realties as and when that is need of the time.

Arrogance is self destructive tool and even with best of success and accomplishments it will lead us to the inevitable disaster. The life cycle circle with time will show us ultimate truth sooner or later. If we mend our ways in between it may allow us to save from the point of no return. So arrogance is not in personalities but it is more related to our dealing with situations.

Disconnect to get connected

In relationships we take lot of things for granted and expect the relationships to sustain in all the adversities of time. Any aspect of life which comes with fewer efforts is given less importance in our priorities. We tend to be invert looking in are action to carry on our relationships, in other words we start believing that our views and actions always best and appropriate in nurturing the relationships. This may lead to spoiling and damaging our relations. In any sphere of relations bitterness and tautness is a pain and we must make efforts to avoid it.

Getting disconnect in relations is an effective approach to rejuvenate the relationships. This disconnect can be physical or mental for some short period. When someone is not around us for some period the self introspection is bound to play its part in understanding the weakness and strengths of our relationships. For the things we take for granted, we realize are difficult to attain. Monotony is broken and a fresh look can be to various aspects of our relations. The gap allows us to look around and to do the comparison in similar context with people involved in the relationships. Strong desire of companionship enforce us to revisit our styles after experience a certain pause in relationship continuity.

Means and ways to strengthen and sustain our relations is never ending journey in our life time. As an individual if we our committed to our relations, trialing on new conducts will help us for being accepted as better human beings. So get disconnect to get connected in stronger manner. Too deep connectivity for longer period in relationships sometimes results in suffocation.

Economic Ideals Of Gandhi

In this period of immense depression in the economies of entire world, we need to re-look the existing economic models prevalent in different nations. The advent of capitalism and socialism has only given the suffering in real sense and there is dire need of some model which is based on simple assumptions of helping and supporting the human race. We as the common men expect basic needs to be fulfilled and always look forward to reasonable secure future. We envisage ways and means which are sustainable by influencing are life styles those reflect the optimum consumption and utilization of resources of the universe. Now it is the time to revisit the economic model propagated by Gandhi to gain some insight to resolve the present crisis.

The Basic Tenets of Gandhi's Economic Views
Gandhi had an innate sympathy for the poor and deprived. This coupled with a direct observation of the predicament of the poor and the oppressed both in India and in South Africa led him to design an economic model that would alleviate the condition of the poor and the deprived. Gandhi believed that the high capitalist endeavors were at the root of all suffering. He believed that business without ethical considerations was fundamentally evil. This led to discrimination, oppression and exploitation. Gandhi also held that there is enough in this world to feed and clothe all. However, there is poverty and deprivation because one group of people thrives on the labor put in by others. Gandhi strongly believed in the ethics of hard work and that one is entitled to take from the system only as much as he is capable of producing. This according to Gandhi, was the only way to fight poverty and to disarm the world of all its economic woes. Gandhi also strongly believed that laziness and lack of work can cause immense physical and spiritual deprivation among the populace. It is impossible to ignite the masses towards a revolution leading to a bigger political or ideological goal if they are weak, both physically and morally. He understood that the new industrial modes of mass and large scale productions that have been ousting the age-old indigenous village techniques are ultimately leading towards unemployment and laziness. Therefore, he worked hard for a resurrection of the village modes of production. The most unique feature of Gandhi's economic model was he wanted to turn the entire flow of profits from the pockets of the big industrialists to the workers. The consumer should, he believed, not only be concerned with acquiring high quality, inexpensive products, but also consider which sections of society are profited by his investment. Foreign clothes may be better and cheaper than the home-spun khadi, but the relentless use of the imported fabric would lead to unemployment of thousands of villagers who have traditionally earned a living by spinning and weaving home-made clothes. The same logic extends to agro-based products as well. Choosing such imported goods would lead to a degeneration of the entire village economy, which was the backbone of Indian economy, Gandhi believed. But at the same time, Gandhi knew the actual implications of an aggressive capitalism: no such humanitarian economic considerations can possibly curb the relentless advance of the big mechanizations initiated by high capitalist agencies. Therefore, he devised a scheme to suit one and all. A nation low on man-power can well use mechanization to enhance its agricultural and mechanical production. But for a nation with a teeming population like India, it would augur no good. Secondly, he thought that a nation should produce only as much as it needs to produce. Extra production, resulting in the beginning of international economic race, would only lead to exploitation. The condition in India, for Gandhi, was ultimately a manifestation of the aggressive mechanization promoted by the British colonialists.

Rural Economy, Khadi and Handlooms
One of the greatest challenges for Gandhi was to rope in every strata of the Indian society into his ideals of economic self sufficiency. Gandhi understood that the very backbone of India was its villages. Unless the village economy could be reformed, nothing could be achieved on the economic front. In his bid to resurrect the rural economy of India, Gandhi started to advocate the use of handmade tools to plough lands. He did not endorse huge farm holdings with modern agricultural machines. Such holdings, he thought, would naturally bring in discrimination where one would reap the benefits of the toil put in by someone else. Gandhi's more revolutionary concept that gathered great popularity throughout the nation was his defense for the cause of handicrafts and handlooms. It was a pointed attack against the mill-made textiles introduced by the British authorities and was an important part of their economic interests in India. Gandhi gave the call to all Indians to desist from the use of all foreign products and for everyone to spin his or her own clothes. The 'charakha' or the spinning wheel and the khadi, or the homespun coarse cloth became the very symbol of nationalism and a sign for the support for national economy. Gandhi made it compulsory for all satyagrahis to use khadi clothes. It was an important economic statement made by Gandhiji. All forms of rural handicrafts achieved great encouragement from Gandhi.

A Review of Gandhi's Economic Models
Actual understanding of the Indian condition led to the development of a unique brand of economic re-orientation of the Indian society that he propagated throughout his life. However, it will be erroneous to consider his economic model to be merely a political tool shrouded in spiritual rhetoric. His concern for the predicament of the Indian villagers was genuine, as was his concern for a heartless mechanization of the world economy sans ethical considerations. In his time, the influence of his economic model was immense and has been dutifully followed in various parts of the world as well as in India, with varied degrees of success.

Happiness is Just a mirage

A baby announces its arrival in the world with its shrill cries; a man announces his departure from the world by his unbroken stony silence. The book of life covering the period between birth and death contains pages of joy and sorrow, success and failure, triumph and tragedy, pleasure and pain, fulfillment and disappointment, health and sickness. Life is a mixed bag of pairs of opposites. Highs and lows are interwoven and form integral parts of the mosaic of life.

It is our basic nature to seek happiness. Do we get it? When we look around we find ourselves surrounded by suffering. We feel uneasy; that we are perched on an island of some happiness, surrounded on all sides by deep and dark waters of unhappiness. Is happiness just a mirage? The fact is that there is neither undiluted happiness, nor unabated unhappiness. Life is both. However, the nature of pain is such that it appears that the unhappy phase of life is interminably long.

When we are faced with unhappy situations, we may derive some comfort by observing and learning from Nature. A cold and dark night yields to the refreshing morning sun, with its soothing rays of warmth, radiating light dispelling darkness. After every chilly winter, there comes the spring, bringing warmth, hope and cheer. At the end of a dark long tunnel, there is light.

Happiness is a state of mind, which keeps us in a state of well being. Several important ingredients go to make the “commodity” known as happiness. But this precious commodity is simply not available in a departmental store. While money can buy pleasures, it cannot buy happiness. A rich man need not necessarily be happy. By the same token a poor man need not necessarily be unhappy. Happiness has to be experienced from within. A fairly comfortable financial position, cordial and harmonious family relations and good health contribute to a happy life. But these alone would not ensure enduring happiness. Many a time we script unhappiness for ourselves and for others.

The mind reacts to external stimuli and this could sometimes bring us happiness or unhappiness. For enduring happiness, the internal war that rages within our minds should first cease. We should come to terms with external ground realities. As physical training keeps the body in good shape, so also mental training helps in keeping the mind tranquil and balanced in the face of adversity.

Things happen not as we want them to, but according to a pre-obtained scheme of things, over which we have little control. We were not consulted about the choice of our parents, place of birth our sex. Neither will we be consulted about our time of death, its place and manner. The cards are dealt to us. We have to play them to the best of our ability. We do not gain anything by fretting or fuming over things over which we have no control whatsoever. We only become unhappy in the process. Accept gracefully the things given to us, the good or bad, and abjectly surrender to the dictates of destiny.

Life does not lend itself to strictly scientific analysis. In the rough and tumble of life two plus two may not necessarily equal to four. There are many questions for which we have no answers.

Thrill That Kills

The biggest tragedy of time is the overwhelming presence of fear of unknown in our minds. Negativity is bombarded from all the direction in our day to day life it stars from early morning newspaper and keep us engage till the late night TV news. One aspect which we may not able to ignore that the negativity give us some thrill and even with best of our efforts we succumb to it's prevailing presence in our lives. Crime , violence are our strong associates allowing us to get the thrill of destruction and devastation. Passively pulling down others with all means is a dominating tendency in our mind. Curiosity to explore negativity is a driving force within us and which compel us to get influence or overpowered by it. The animal instinct of dominance is instrumental to our indulgence in violence and crime. We enjoy the movies with larger dose of violence most of the times and reading material with higher content of crime give us thrill. The Saviour and destroyer both are part of our fantasy world. Driving recklessly, drinking absurdly are also related to this latent fascination towards crime and violence which pertains to some kind of thrill.

Generally all thrills at extreme levels are self destructive. Avoiding unnecessary exposure to crime and violence is an effective remedy to control our attraction to this kind of thrill.
Giving the consistent thoughts to the aftermath of violence is another measure that facilitate us in showing restrain to this dangerous thrill. We need to develop trait of sensitivity in our personality to get rid of violence in our minds.

Violent Minds

Tender minds in childhood are vulnerable to violence and aggression. Overdose of violence through media ,movies and games is polluting the innocence minds with revengeful and destructive behavior. Our mind is too sensitive to all the activities whether reasonable or unreasonable. Any aspect taking the mature shape in mind is result of continuous and consistent hammering by different sources. We tend to ignore the child's excessive fascination and indulgence in violent games, toys and movies which prove fatal in later stage of individual's life. Aggression if not channelized it lead to frustration and alter the normal behavior to self destruction.

Sports is the ideal medium to improve and control our aggression. Physical games allow us to ventilate out our negative energy and it help us in balancing the aggression with politeness in all circumstances. Any sport teach us to become a good human being with all the positive qualities of a gentleman. Playing under laid down rules is instrumental in developing our mind set to hold on our feelings and emotion in an acceptable manner. Better to avoid any irrelevant exposure of violence to kids in their tender age as it can leave the strong impact on the thinking and approach. Play hard and learn hard need to be the motto of prevailing times for well being of human race.

Coloring Others in Your Colors

The stupendous task is to influence some one with your own thought process. What ever we are and where ever we are, until other recognize our presence we feel ignored and dejected. We as an individual love to propagate our ideas and thoughts to the wider mass for self gratification. There is always a tendency of not sparing any opportunity to make felt our presence in any forum. We may proclaim our self to be aloof from adulation from others but in reality most of us are happy to be listened and praised for our thought process and line of thinking. It's immaterial for us to understood the quality and content of our approach but living with it related to our identity. Networking and social groups on net is the outcome of this trait of individuals. Means and media opted for fulfilling this ever present desire vary due to circumstances, resources and personalities.
Making mark on others with your thought is herculean task. The prime cause of this resistance is that we all are possessive and defensive to our own beliefs and thinking immensely. No one is comfortable to alter his or her stance easily as we relate it to our individuality. Coloring others in our colors is the challenge which fascinate us. Difficult but always possible. Important factor is how we position, profess our thoughts in our social and professional circles. We need to flavor our line of thinking to make it more acceptable to peers, friends and relatives. People can be influenced only when they are pushed to introspection, disbelief and ignorance.
Its a great feeling when people listen to us and recognize our stance on any matter or issue. So keep on striving to make your mark, once you are able to put your color on others it's everlasting and give you the sense of satisfaction and at same time trigger you to expand your following to the lager mass.

Chemistry of Love

We all are prone to addictions and reason for any addiction is nothing but it stimulus our instincts. Addictions can be bad and may at times lead to havocs in our lives. To all the obsessions there is no limiting factor, a distinct chemistry in brain is responsible for any possessive and obsessive behavior.

when two individuals are in love ,the chemistry in brain is in it's hyper stage. The formulation of different chemicals in brain drive us to unique and exciting reactions. Our control on our senses is negligible and it take only unidirectional approach. Chemical reactions in brain create the euphoria around us and we keep falling to it's magic. The troubles and pains are out of our mind and optimism is prevalent all around. The stage is for complete surrenderer , adjustments, sacrifices and acceptance. The relation is treated and projected as unique and distinct lead to obsession ,possessiveness. We feel great sense of high and no drug can give this sense of high to the individual. So its beautiful addiction and more safe with very positive stimuli.
When we fall in love with other persons it's out come of biological, chemical phenomena, but to fall in love with oneself needs efforts. Imagine when we are in love with our self with same intensity.

The high will be unimaginable and everlasting. World around us will change for ever with full of joy and happiness. Obstacles ,insecurity ,fear of failure, uncertainties ,incompetence, incapabilities and weakness from or personality can be thing of past.
Fall in love with yourself to experience the everlasting high in life.

Great Article to change our point of view
It's been 18 years since I joined Volvo, a Swedish company. Working for them has proven to be an interesting experience. Any project here takes 2 years to be finalized, even if the idea is simple and brilliant. It's a rule. Globalized processes have caused in us (all over the world) a general sense of searching for immediate results. Therefore, we have come to posses a need to see immediate results. This contrasts greatly with! the slow movements of the Swedish. They, on the other hand, debate, debate, debate, hold several meetings and work with a slowdown scheme. At the end, this always yields better results. The first time I was in Sweden , one of my colleagues picked me up at the hotel every morning. It was September, bit cold and snowy. We would arrive early at the company and he would park far away from the entrance (2000 employees drive their car to work). The first day, I didn't say anything, either the second or third. One morning I asked, "Do you have a fixed parking space? I've noticed we park far from the entrance even when there are no other cars in the lot." To which he replied, "Since we're here early we'll have time to walk, and whoever gets in late will be late and need a place closer to the door. Don't you think we should help them too! ?" Imagine my face!
Nowadays, there's a movement in Europe name Slow Food. This movement establishes that people should eat and drink slowly, with enough time to taste their food, spend time with the family, friends, without rushing. Slow Food is against its counterpart: the spirit of Fast Food and what it stands for as a lifestyle. Slow Food is the basis for a bigger movement called Slow Europe, as mentioned by Business Week. Basically, the movement questions the sense of "hurry" and "craziness" generated by globalization, fueled by the desire of "having in quantity" (life status) versus "having with quality", "life quality" or the "quality of being".
French people, even though they work 35 hours per week, are more productive than Americans or British. Germans have established 28.8 hour workweeks and have seen their productivity been driven up by 20%. This slow attitude has brought forth the US 's attention, pupils of the fast and the "do it now!" This no-rush attitude doesn't represent doing less or having a lower productivity. It means working and doing things with greater quality, productivity, perfection, with attention to detail and less stress. It means re-establishing family values, friends, free and leisure time. Taking the "now", present and concrete, versus the "global", undefined and anonymous. It means taking humans' essential values, the simplicity of living. It stands for a less coercive work environment, more happy, lighter and more productive where humans enjoy doing what they know best how to do. It's time to stop and think on how companies need to develop serious quality with no-rush that will increase productivity and the quality of products and services, without losing the essence of spirit.
Many of us live our lives running behind time, but we only reach it when we die of a heart attack or in a car accident rushing to be on time. Others are so anxious of living the future that they forget to live the present, which is the only time that truly exists. We all have equal time throughout the world. No one has more or less. The difference lies in how each one of us does with our time.
We need to live each moment. As John Lennon said, "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans". Thanks for reading till the end of this message. There are many who will have stopped in the middle so as not to waste time in this globalized world!

Think Beyond Business

All the curse is the result of myopic view taken by most of us to handle socio-economic issues in this world. Basic factor for sustainability is evolved around the give and take approach. The problem lies in expecting all without giving anything, we avoid sharing wealth and resources. Disparity in society never moves us and we tend to follow only the path of based on selfishness and greed. There are transactions in life where we are not suppose to gain any returns but at the same time it's quintessential for humanity in totality. That aspect is quite ahead of normal business acumen ship and may give us in return something great to our expected line of thinking.
Let learn not to treat all happenings around with narrow business lines it will take us only to a life cycle which is going to lure us to strive for reaching a limit and then again to hit the bottom, these are vicious circles of up and downs. The classic example of exception is survival of all living things apart human beings if they are not disturbed by mankind's destructive handling of environment. Long term ,limited and stable sustainability without much upheavals and by consuming resources in a balanced manner.
Start getting acquainted to simple living and avoid the as many as frills in life. The quality of life is not related only to life styles but more to how we manage our surroundings and environment to add grace in our persona.

Sensibility the differentiating Factor

We as human beings are capable of sensing the pain ,sorrow, distress, joy, happiness and excitement. God has given us this unique strength and trait in abandon limits then any other creature on Earth. This capability provide us edge as human beings to overpower and manage all existing resources in world around us. The sensibility presence vary one individual to other but otherwise it's omnipresent in all of us. Being sensitive to our environment signify the maturity and perfectness in our character.
The disturbing aspect in our grooming is that with time and circumstances we become insensitive to a greater extend. Race of survival shadowed our this uniqueness for directing us to a human being without soul. Ignorance ,avoidance, defiance are the ramifications of this state of mind. We are prone to influenced by the self centered individualistic approach. We are lure to greed and lust limited to our own survival. We redefine the processes and system to befit our vested interests only and society is victim of this approach. we create the superficially developed environment to please our senses.
We can only differentiate ourselves from other living creature if we sensitive to the environment, people and sufferings. Human beings are expected to adopt the seasoned ways to bring our generations in more loving and peaceful world.

Simplicity the Real answer

Ultimately the simplicity is the only and stable answer to all the negativity and complexities around us .Society and individual’s bound to revisit the ever established affairs concerning us. Simple basic will lead us to a safe and secure life from these ever threatening circumstances. Over optimism and extreme negativity is ramification of indulgence in dynamism.
Let ‘s understand that our surroundings are there to provide us all the means for survival but keeping the balance in demand and consumption is critical for existence of all of us. Greed will produce more greed and the end result is nothing less then the grave disaster. Less you consume it will allow more to enjoy and consume the resources.

Guilt The Controlling Factor

Our actions are some in our control but most of the time we are not able to manage our acts. Any omission on our part is result of our thinking process at that particular moment. We all fall prey to scrutiny of right and wrong in all our actions. The on going journey expose us to glorious and tragic paths at different junctures. we cant hold our ventures by getting over conscious in our approach.
To control the repetitions of our acts where we believe that there is need of introspection, guilt is an effective mechanism to control our actions. Guilt monitor us from extending the mistakes and allow an individual to correct means and way to avoid the repetition. Guilt is first step towards balancing our behavior and we must not feel bad always for this state of mind. Only we must not fall in to trap self denial and depression for the guilt.
