Be critical and not cynical

Criticality is associated with analysis and evaluation and being critical is a healthy process. When we are critical it relate to our judiciousness for assessment of situation. It also depicts our inclination to explore the matter in depth, which help us in totality to gain more knowledge and awareness. In this process we are keen not to take things on their face value and like to build our own prospective to matters around us. Our thinking process get more seasoned with continuous and persistent questioning. In our network of people we are not taken for granted as we can stand on put forward our opinion with all the confidence. We put into practice the openness with appraising the circumstances.

Cynical is the state of extreme pessimism and negativity in evaluating the matters and facts we may deal in our life style. We are closed in our thinking and follow only the tunnel view in related or non-related matters. The stage is of complete darkness with extreme rigidity in our mind. We are obsessive to a point of view and refrain from accepting any flexibility. The perception of absolute hopelessness prevails over us and options seem to be dried up.

The interesting aspect is our understanding regarding criticality and cynicism is very ordinary. Most of the time we are not aware when we have crossed the dividing line of criticality to cynicism. We become slave to our over possessive negative thoughts and with time we are only propagating the cynicism in our views and opinion. Try to introspect the personal opinions to limit the compulsive behavior. Don’t carried away by egos and self-centered approach. Start accepting dissimilar views for showing better receptivity.
