Divergent Accepted wisdom

Following the established norms requires the convergent thinking process. We do as told to us or perceived by us in our prevailing environment. Telling in simple terms, adopting the straight line without any deviations in our thinking or execution. We are captive to conventional paths for more predictable out comes. No questions are raised and emphasis is to maintain status quo to the possible best. In discussions some of us may sound radical in our approach but unfortunately this fervour remains confined to discussions tables only. “Out of box thinking” sails only in conversations to impress others. Wisdom is related to typecast knowledge; learning’s for most of us and deviating thought process is low on acceptance. Conservative mind sets are reflection of rigidity in our outlook.

Divergent accepted wisdom parlance to openness in our personality. It shows our strength to raise questions and invite fresh thoughts in our execution and thinking. when we like to be different we need to explore at depth for being more effective resulting in consistent flow of ideas and facts.” why” is more prominent then “ yes “ in our normal communications. Conflicts are created to improve us further by gaining more knowledge through shaking the established norms.

We can master this trait in our normal routine if we start mending our ways to handle the issues with non conventional approach. Start putting query to all our acts in personal and working life. It will at least force us to think differently and with time execution can also be the part of this process. Your are not there to change the world around you but you can make your mark as pioneer in challenging the taboos affecting your wisdom to grow. Common man can live life distinctively different with open mind. Wisdom is never been privilege only for rich, intelligent and famous, we all can demonstrate it with divergent thinking.

  1. Yes, Dinesh. Its totally unbelievable that most of us are living a life based on our conventional ways of thinking as regulated by culture, religions, families and many other factors. Worth reading. A panacea for many lost souls to re-think about their lives.
